Delete your Cardio Critters account
Summary
You can delete your Cardio Critters account in two ways: from the app (recommended) or by requesting it via email if you no longer have access to the app. Deletion is permanent and irreversible.

Method 1 — From the app (recommended)
- Open Cardio Critters and sign in.
- Go to the Profile tab (👤 icon, bottom right).
- Scroll to the bottom and tap “Delete account”.
- Confirm in the “Delete account?” alert by tapping “Delete”.
Your account and your sign-in identity are deleted immediately, and the app returns you to the login screen.
Method 2 — Email request (if you can't access the app)
If you can't get into the app (lost device, uninstalled, etc.), write to us at:

Delete my account — Cardio Critters - Send the email from the same email address you registered with (this lets us verify your identity).
- State that you want to permanently delete your account and your data.
We will verify your identity and process the deletion within a maximum of 15 business days. We'll confirm by email once it's done. You don't need the app installed to use this channel.
What data is deleted
When you delete your account, we permanently erase or anonymize:
- Your sign-in identity (managed by Clerk): you will no longer be able to log into the account.
- Your contact and identity data: email address, display name, phone (if applicable).
- Your profile: avatar and bio.
- Your push notification tokens (you stop receiving notifications).
What data is retained (and why)
- Game activity records (runs, achievements, events) may be retained in an anonymized form, decoupled from your identity (without your email, name, or sign-in identity), for system integrity, security, and aggregated statistics.
- We may retain certain information for the minimum time required by a legal obligation.
No retained data allows you to be re-identified or your account to be recovered.
What happens next
- Deletion is permanent: it is not possible to reactivate the account or recover your progress (pet, energy, streaks, achievements).
- If you later sign up again with the same email, a brand-new account is created from scratch, with no link to the previous one. You don't need to contact us to register again.
